OZARK Season 2

SPOILERS (light)

It's like the creator wondered if their Time's Up and pushed more on the women's plate, made them more hardcore. I'm a big WENDY fan and it's not just 'cause she has a "pinkish hue" and "rosy complexion". Wendy Byrde is simple in her gangster as is Darlene Snell, whereas Ruth Langmore is complex, vulnerable and looks like she should be starring in "Sixteen Candles" not laundering money and killing her uncles.

On the bad side, I've seen this show's setup too many times to truly enjoy it. The family dynamics is a rip-off of so many other contemporary shows "The Americans", "Power,  "The Sopranos" and the men -- minor and major -- are predictable, even Marty Byrde who comes off as a great impersonation of Walter White (Breaking Bad).

I still give it a nod to watch for the same reasons I did to Season 1. "Fight Me" if you think it's a great show.

Recommendation: MEDIUM
