SHE'S GOTTA HAVE IT Season 1:
...works well for the day's streaming binge watch culture. The show is best viewed and evaluated as a whole or on multi-episode basis.
At its best, it is "art for art's sake" with terrific stylish elements, particularly the musical expositions.
At its worst, some elements carried over from the film are dated though they serve to help anchor the storyline, e.g. Mars's fashion.
Overall: looking forward to future seasons and how secondary characters get fleshed out. Please Baby Please
